Lillian S. Weigert is a principal attorney with Gellert, Klein & MacLeod, LLP. Her practice is concentrated in business, banking, real estate, creditor’s rights, and probate litigations in state and federal courts, including appeals. Lillian is also a trained mediator.
Lillian’s commitment to quality health care and economic development in Dutchess County is the focus of her community activities. She is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Vassar Brothers Medical Center and is a past Chair of the Board of Hudson Valley Home Care. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of HealthQuest Systems, Inc., the parent corporation of Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Northern Dutchess Hospital and Putnam Hospital Center.
A former Chair of the Dutchess County Economic Corporation, Lillian has also held leadership roles for The Dutchess County Arts Association and the Hudson Valley Film & Video Office. She has served on the boards of the New Horizons Foundation, School Art League of New York City, and The Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill.
Lillian was a 2010 Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley honoree and a 2009 Athena Award nominee.
Lillian was named a “Super Lawyer” based on peer recognition and professional achievement. She is a former member of the Federal Courts and Banking committees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, among her other professional memberships. Lillian attended Vassar College, is a graduate of Yale College, cum laude, and the University of Virginia Law School, and attended the University of Paris Law School, France.
Lillian is a skier and a scuba diver and speaks French.
